Dr Lehmbacher has studied biology with a focus on genetics, biochemistry, immunology and botany and obtained his diploma degree from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. Following his doctoral thesis in the field of biochemistry (Institute of Molecular Immunology, Helmholtz Gesellschaft) in 2006, Dr Lehmbacher started working for Boehringer Ingelheim as a pharmaceutical representative. From 2007 to 2009, Dr Lehmbacher was employed as an Information Scientist at GlaxoSmithKline in Verona, Italy.

Dr Lehmbacher started working in the IP field in 2009 and received his training at a renowned Munich law firm. Dr Lehmbacher has been admitted as “Patentanwalt” in 2013.

In his leisure time, Dr Lehmbacher enjoys hiking, windsurfing or running.
