Dr. rer. nat. Kornelia Eichelbaum
Biologist

Dr Eichelbaum studied biology at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität in Jena. By a research visit at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam Dr Eichelbaum focussed on molecular neurobiology. During her doctoral thesis at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry, Munich and at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich, Dr Eichelbaum studied the endogenous cannabinoid system and its involvement in the adaptation of fear and anxiety reactions. As postdoctoral fellow, Dr Eichelbaum continued her research in neurobiology and behavioral pharmacology at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry and, subsequently, at the Institute of Physiology I of the Westfälische Wilhelmsuniversität Münster with focus on in vivo electrophysiology.

Dr Eichelbaum started working in the IP field in 2010 and was trained at a renowned Munich patent law firm. Dr Eichelbaum was admitted as “Patentanwalt” in 2013.

In her leisure time, Dr Eichelbaum enjoys mountaineering, ski touring and road cycling.
